Propylparaben

Propylparaben (CAS 94-13-3), also sold under trade names Tegosept P, Solbrol P, and Protaben P, is a synthetic preservative approved as E216 across food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical applications.

It inhibits the growth of mold, yeast, and bacteria at low concentrations, making it one of the most cost-effective broad-spectrum antimicrobial options available to formulators today.

In personal care and cosmetics, it is used to preserve lotions, shampoos, and creams against microbial contamination throughout shelf life. This ensures product safety and maintains integrity for consumers.
